Piper looked up, sensing her husband's approaching presence before he actually appeared. She turned to him with a sweet smile on her face and a knife in one hand. "Piper, we've got -- " His words trailed off at the look she gave him. "What?" he asked innocently.

Piper warred within herself, but then she clamped down on her rising anger. She smiled prettily as she looked at the man she loved, and who she knew loved her. She also knew the White Lighter was as oblivious to how to take a break and have fun as her little sister was on how to be all business and not have fun. There had to be a happy, medium ground in all things, including in this whole Witchcraft life she'd had thrust upon her and had accepted in large part to be able to keep this wonderful man. He was wonderful, even if he did have a stick up his butt and was a pain in her own rear end.

She closed the distance between them, her smile taking a mischievous turn. "Piper, what are you doing?" Leo asked, a little nervously, but she didn't answer him with words. Instead she ran the butter knife over his lips, forcing his mouth to shut and smearing fluffy, white frosting on his mouth. She loved to bake and could often find the rare moments of peace she so desperately needed between running her family, running her own business that served as her family's chief source of income, and saving the world as a Witchy Charmed One. She'd long ago learned that food could also be used for other fun things.

"Piper, what -- " Leo started to ask again. He was clearly becoming impatient, but she didn't care. She was going to teach him something today or, at least, remind him of something she'd once thought she'd already taught him long ago in their relationship, something she was determined he would yet learn one of these days.

She stepped even closer, laying the knife down on the kitchen table beside her, and cradled his hips with her own. "Piper, we don't have time -- " He reached a hand toward his mouth, but she grabbed both his hands, entwined her fingers with his, and held him still for a moment. As she did so, she leaned in still closer to him and her tongue over his frosted lips. She took her time, slowly licking each drop of sugary coating from his lips. As she did so, she felt his body respond to the motions and rocked against him, cradling him closer, inviting him --

His lips opened in an audible moaned. She grinned, and licked him again though the frosting was now gone. Her brown eyes shimmered up into his. "I love you, Leo," she told him, leaning closer and harder against his body and squeezing his hands. "I know you love me, and there is always time for us to show each other that love."

"The Elders wouldn't like it -- " he started.

She made a face. "Yeah, well, I don't much like the Elders either, but we need each other." They should have learned to shut up a long time ago, but she supposed beings like Them who thought They were deities never really learned to stay hushed for long. She should be grateful, she reminded herself, for the time she did have with her husband, and she was really, every minute of it. If there was one reason to be happy to be a Witch, it was because without her Craft, she never would have met Leo, and that was the very reason why she kept being a Witch, no matter what it cost her. She'd threatened so many times over the years to stop being Charmed, but They knew as long as They let her have her love, she would remain at least partially Their servant.

"I also need you, and as way more than my White Lighter." She pressed her lips to his and dove her tongue into his mouth. She kissed him long and deep. Her tongue thrust against his with more wildness and passion than she'd once thought she'd ever feel, but which he had taught her, unwittingly invoked in her by just being himself, and blessed her with. She was so much more a woman since they'd met, and it was largely because of him, no matter what They thought. He was the reason she now had a great deal of the confidence she'd come to possess, and certainly the reason why she was blessed with such joy and love.

She felt him responding, rising up against his, and swayed her hips in a primal answer. She wanted to take him right now, to throw him on the kitchen table where her family ate as many meals as possible, knock away the bowl of frosting and the cakes she'd baked, and just have her way with him. She wanted to make wild, passionate love to her husband all night long, and she had every right to do so -- But she also knew why he was here. Somewhere, some one's life hung in the balance, and no matter how hungry she was for him, it was going to have to wait.

She was panting when she tore her mouth from his. "You -- " She gasped. " -- were saying?"

"There's a young Witch who needs saving," he spoke predictably, but then things took an unexpected turn. "But we have until midnight to stop her from giving herself to the Demons." He picked her up, spun her around, and placed her on the kitchen table, and right there, next to her cakes, he made one of his sweet, wonderful wife's dreams come true, not just by loving her and by loving her right and powerfully in such a special place for her but also by making it crystal clear that, whereas he might be duty bound, she would always come first in his heart, if not his life. That was enough for Piper for she loved him and knew he loved her.
