She looked so sweet and innocent laying with his baby in her arms. Nobody who didn't know would ever guess the young woman was the same girl who had once gone by Queen C, the meanest bitch in all Sunnydale, or the infant she held so tenderly was the offspring of two monsters. Angel bent, kissed his son, and then stole another kiss, chastely sweeping his lips over Cordelia's soft, raven black hair. He sat across from them and watched until at last his own eyes shut, perchance to dream, perhaps even for the first time in centuries, sweet ones.
