"There isn't anything you wouldn't do for your brother, is there?"
The question made Dean want to smack the other man across his scowling face, but he wouldn't give in to the temptation, at least not yet, not until he knew Sammy was safe. Of course there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for his brother! He'd die for him a thousand times over. He'd fight the whole world, Heaven and Hell and everything in between, to keep him safe. He loved him, and Gordon couldn't begin to imagine a love of that magnitude.
The man had probably never truly been loved in his life, Dean thought, and even if he hadn't, whatever love he had known certainly couldn't compare to that which he and Sammy shared. He smirked at him, keeping that thought fully in mind. Sammy was a blessing Dean didn't deserve, and yes, he'd do anything for him. "Yeah," he said and just let the truth hang there. Gordon could only imagine after all.
No one else would ever know the love he and Sammy shared. No one else, no other brothers or couples, could ever come close. And Dean knew Sammy loved him just as much. His heart swelling, Dean returned to the mission at hand. He'd save his brother; that was just how their love worked. No power could match it, and that was why he knew, in the end, they'd be successful every time.
