She's waited for this opportunity since nearly the first time she saw the human boy. He's already grown to be a legend amongst his kind, but his kind always enslaves hers. They think they want to do these stupid fights against others more like them than the furless humans for their entertainment. They think they want to build the humans' roads and towns for them. They want to give their lives not just for their success but for their meager entertainment as well. Ash, despite always feigning friendship toward them, is no better than the rest.
"Pika?" Pikachu calls, bobbing her head up from the hamper where the boy's thrown his dirty laundry.
He laughs, a sound she's secretly come to hate. "It's not that bad, is it, Pikachu? Oh. Look at you. You're still messy from that fight with Muk."
Yes, the battle you made me fight. Yet another of the endless string of battles where your kind points and laughs at our kind. She lets him lift her, carry her to the sink, and start to run water.
"What is it?"
She smiles, feeling the water on her fur. "PIKACHU!" The battles, at least for her, are over.
