"What did you wish for?" he asked as his girlfriend slipped her hand back into his embrace.
She shrugged. "What more could I ask for?"
He frowned. "I don't know, but why else would you throw a coin away into the well?"
She squeezed his hand. Her eyes alight with mirth, she couldn't help a small laugh. "Every one knows it's bad luck to cross a wishing well without throwing a coin, silly." He looked doubtful, so she stopped and stood before him. Looking directly into his eyes, she spoke earnestly, "What more could I ask for? What more would any girl want? I have the most handsome beau in the kingdom, the sweetest man. What more would you ask for?"
He thought for just a moment before kneeling. "I can think of only one thing, and that would be to make the fairest of them all my wife forever more."
